Roundtable Focus: The session will discuss potential large- and utility-scale renewable generation projects for municipal government. From aggregated on-site solar to financing a wind farm, there are a number of options that not only make a significant dent on climate -- but, just as critically, make economic sense from a grid-parity and risk-mitigation perspective.

Venue: ACCO Headquarters, 1900 K Street NW, Washington, DC 20006 (webinar access available to out-of-towners)

Date: Wednesday, October 3, 2012

Time: 12:30pm - 2:00pm

Sam Brooks is the Associate Director of the DC Department of General Services and Director of DGS's Energy & Sustainability Division. The Division develops and executes energy conservation and sustainability initiatives for DC government facilities -- including all schools and municipal buildings. The Division also manages the District government's commodity acquisition ($91 million in FY2012) and all utility-related functions, stormwater controls, and waste management for DGS facilities.
